Professor Ahn Sung Soo wins this year's Jae Am Prize

Professor Ahn Sung Soo of JNU Department of Korean Language Education is this year's recipient of Jae Am Cultural Prize sponsored by Jae Am Foundation of Jeju.

Jae Am Cultural Foundation (Song Bong Gyu, Chairman) presented the 2014 cultural prize with a stipend of ten million won to Professor Ahn at the 12th anniversary of the foundation last week (January 29, 2014).

Professor Ahn was recognized for his scholarly and essay writing contributions through his dedication to the continuing education program of the university. Some 2000 persons audited and participated in his  classes, and about  100 of those completed his course went on to become essayist themselves, thus contributing to the cultural development of Jeju society.

Previously, Professor Ahn also received the 19th Shingok Literary Prize sponsored by "Essays and Critique" foundation.
