Some government and its affiliated organizations are being relocated to Jeju Province by November 25, 2014, and signed the agreement with Jeju National University for collaboration in employment consideration and personnel education and training purposes.
For the agreement, Government Pension Fund (Choi Jae Shik, Chairman of Board), Korea International Foundation (Yoo Hyun Shik, President), Foreign Resident Koreans Center (Cho Kyu Hyung, President) signed the MOU documents with Jeju National University and three other regional universities in Jeju.
According to the agreed collaborations the relocating organizations expect for the local host educational institutions to educate and train personnel needed for them whereas faculty and staff of the host universities will have access to various governmental resources that will be useful for teaching purposes.
In a nationwide attempt to facilitate the balanced growth and development of regional provinces, the Ministry of Land and Transportation identified 151 government and its affiliated organizations to relocate to 10 regional cities around the country. The above agreement aims at facilitating the relocations and personnel training that arise from the government sponsored moves to Jeju Province.
