JNU, 81 Students Passed 2023 Teacher Certification Examination for secondary school

JNU produced a total of 81 (self-counted) successful applicants, including 75 from the College of Education and 6 from the Graduate School of Education, in the 2023 Teacher Certification Examination for secondary school.
The number of successful applicants by major is as follows; △11 from Korean language Education △8, English Education △6, Social Education △6, Ethics Education △13, Mathematics Education △10, Physics Education △7, Biology Education △10, Computer Education △2, Geography Education △2, physical Education and △6 students from Graduate School of Education. In addition, one student passed law school exam and 9, the civil service exam.
Yeum Mi-gyeung, Dean of the College of Education and Dean of the Graduate School of Education, said, "This achievement is the result of creating a thorough learning environment to prepare for the exam and the passion of students, professors, and faculty members“, adding, ”JNU College of Education will make continuous efforts to foster excellent secondary school teachers by accepting the changing Educational environment such as AI, big data, human rights, and multiculturalism as well as introducing field-friendly Education.“
JNU’s College of Education has been reborn when the Department of Education which was located in JNU’s Yongdam Campus moved to Ara Campus since 1979. Starting with the remodeling of Building No. 2 of the College of Education in January last year, the remodeling of Building No. 1 and 2 of the College of Education will be completed by August this year. With this opportunity, the College of Education will seek innovation as a secondary teacher training institution of the national university through participation and communication. In addition, it plans to strengthen cooperation with universities, Education offices, and Education sites to improve field performance.
