Tokyo Electron Korea Co., Ltd., KRW 10 Million to JNU

As a part of the TEL Track Project, the Tokyo Electron Korea Scholarships were awarded to the Department of Electronic Engineering at JNU on Nov. 3.
Lee Ho-won, vice president of research, JNU staff and executives from Tokyo Electron Korea, including Vice President Lee Hye-jin, attended the event. The company delivered a total of KRW 10 million in scholarships to four students selected as "TEL Track" students.
The TEL track project of the Engineering Education Innovation Center was started by the Department of Electronic Engineering at JNU to cultivate manpower in the semiconductor equipment field.
It was promoted for the first time this year based on the industry-academic cooperation (MOU) between JNU and Tokyo Electron Korea last year.
This project is a customized talent training program for electronic engineering and semiconductor industries based on the 'Jeju Semiconductor Track'.
Tokyo Electron Korea Co., Ltd. is the Korean subsidiary of Tokyo Electron in Japan, a global semiconductor equipment company with major semiconductor manufacturers such as TSMC, Intel, and Samsung Electronics as its main customers.
The company provides an opportunity to help outstanding students enter the field by providing scholarships to students selected for the "TEL Track" and operating customized education programs for industries.
