College of Veterinary Medicine at JNU (Dean Lee Young-jae) organized the "2023 1st JNU College of Veterinary Medicine Academic Forum" on Nov. 10.

A pre-event contest to name the forum was held prior to the forum, selecting Kim Gi-hyeon’s, a third-year student, "Baeknok Veterinary Medicine Academic Seminar". The College plans to hold an academic forum annually to celebrate the achievement of the research, presenting awards to graduate and undergraduate students who have contributed to outstanding research results, and offering special lectures on experts in respective fields.

Ten oral presentations and 14 poster presentations were comprised at the forum. All graduate students who provided presentations received the Outstanding Verbal Presentation Award, while Kim Si-yeon (4), Nam Da-ye (4), Kim Ki-yeon (2), and Kim Hyun-bin (1) received the Outstanding Poster Award. In addition, Professor Oh Han-seul of Chungbuk National University and Professor Lee Hu-seok of Chungnam National University, who entered the academic world after graduating from JNU, gave special lectures and had discussion session with JNU students.

Dean Lee Young-jae said, "This is the inaugural JNU College of Veterinary Medicine academic forum. We will try to make the forum a venue where all faculty members, students, and alumni can communicate happily while developing future research capabilities.
