JNU LINC3.0 Project Group (Director Kang Tae-young) held the ‘2023 JNU LINC 3.0 JiSanHag-Hodi Festival’ in Maison Glad Jeju on Dec. 12, exhibiting the achievements of programs operated through talent training and corporate support programs in the 2023 school year.
A total of 227 applications for exhibition registration were received at the event. More than 500 students, business people, and local residents participated in exhibitions, forums, and lecture programs at the site. The event consisted of a variety of programs, including a presentation of the results of the JNU start-up club, evaluation of the results of the joint development of minimum functional products, which are research results of companies and universities, a start-up networking forum, a youth communication Hondi Talk Concert, and an industry-academic cooperation communication lounge with companies in Jeju and Jeju government officials. At the event, more than 100 exhibition items were displayed, including start-up clubs, capstone design, Orion Foundation's Jeju Appropriate Technology Project, technology commercialization achievements with family companies, family company promotion exhibition halls, field training counseling booths, and CES visitors and students.
Designed by JNU to contribute to the development of the community first, the event was planned and held in Jeju for the first time. Through this, it became a venue to convey knowledge and information about employment and start-ups to young people in Jeju and promote job creation and economic growth in the region. In the next year, we plan to prepare for the event in cooperation with other universities in the province, and allow high school students in the province to attend. In addition, we asked for the interest and cooperation of local governments along with policy support from local governments so that the event could be held continuously.
About 180 family companies are participating in the JNU LINC3.0 project, along with professors and students from 46 departments of 11 colleges of JNU. The project group said, "JNU hopes that this event will be widely introduced to the Jeju community as a model for the spread of industry-academia cooperation and an opportunity for JNU to create synergy with the local community. “
