JNU Ara Overseas Volunteer Group for Cambodian Volunteer Work

JNU held the ‘Ara Overseas Volunteer Corps (Director Yeo In-gyu) Cambodia Volunteer Corps Inauguration Ceremony’ in the JNU conference room on Dec. 22.
From Dec. 25 to 31, a total of 51 volunteers, consisting of 12 professors, 5 faculty members, and 34 students conducted △ medical service △ animal care service △ educational service activities in Cambodia with JNU's human and material resources.
At this event, the volunteer members pledged that, as JNU Overseas Volunteers, they would faithfully engage in volunteer work to promote the development of the region they are working in and enhance the reputation of JNU through exemplary behavior during their period of service.
JNU President Kim Eel-hwan said, "The volunteers should reflect on the meaning of overseas volunteer activities and work with pride and pride as JNU representatives," adding, “JNU hopes students will become ‘workers with rich creativity and warm heart to lead the realization of universal values of mankind’ in the JNU Charter through this volunteer work."
Since JNU educational and medical service in the Philippines in 2010, JNU has helped JNU students understand various national cultures and develop a sense of community, self-development, and a glocal mindset through volunteer work every year during vacation.
