JNU College of Pharmacy, All Passed Pharmaceutical National Examination

JNU announced that all 31 graduating students in JNU College of Pharmacy passed the 75th Pharmaceutical National Examination (National Health Personnel Licensing Examination Board) held on Jan. 19.

The overall passing rate of the pharmacist national examination in 2024 was 90.7%. Out of a total of 2,071 applicants who received six-year pharmaceutical education at 37 pharmaceutical colleges in Korea, 1,879 were accepted. The average score for JNU students was 258.6, which was 9.4 points higher than the average score of 249.2 for all candidates.

The regular competition rate for JNU College of Pharmacy in 2024 is 57:1, continuing the highest to be the highest in Korea every year after 43.15:1 in 2023.

JNU College of Pharmacy was newly established in 2020 and produced the first graduates in 2024. It has formed a faculty centered on emerging researchers with excellent capabilities. In 2023, the second building of the college was built in order to establish a pharmacological simulation center. Currently, a non-clinical research center is scheduled to be completed in early 2024 as part of the Jeju Regional Innovation Platform (Jeju RIS) project.

Dean Lee Sang-ho said, "To produce excellent pharmacists and professionals who lead the field of pharmaceutical bio that will lead the future of the local community and the national pharmaceutical industry, JNU College of Pharmacy, a new college, will continue to do its best to contribute to human health through establishing a high-quality education system and advancing research infrastructure."
