JNU announced that Dr. Kim Hyeong-mi, a biological education major at JNU College of Education, and Dr. Kang So-yeon (Academic Adviser, Kang Kyung-hee) recently won the Excellence New Researcher Award and the Excellence Paper Presentation Award at the 2024 Winter Conference of the Korean Society for Biological Education at Seoul National University of Education.

The Excellent Up-coming Researcher Award is given to researchers who are expected to contribute greatly to the academic development of the field of biological education. Dr. Kim Hyeong-mi was recognized for remarkable research results in the field of science writing.

Kang So-yeon, JNU doctoral student, was highly praised for providing basic data for revitalizing environmental education in secondary schools through the presentation of ‘The Effect of Environmental Reading Education Programs on Environmental Sensitivity & Environmental Practice Literacy of Middle School Students.’
