JNU has operated ‘Jeju Ollegil & Self-reflection’ course in order to systematically support career and academic design of JNU students.
Including JNU president, Important figures the inside and outside of JNU participate as mentors in the "Jeju Ollegil & Self-reflection" course. It is conducted by completing all the Jeju Ollegil tracking course during the spring semester. While walking with mentors along the Jeju Ollegilk, JNU students can seek advice on their career path, major choices, and college life. The course has been operated so that students can design a "path of life on the Ollegil" in this course.
In addition, this course aims to help universities help free major students choose their majors in the future and design their studies and futures well. According to the analysis of public data by university for the 23rd grade released by Jongno Academy on the 4th, the dropout rate of students in the free major department was two to five times higher than the overall average of the university. As a result, JNU started with the recognition that it needed to provide additional help with students who have not decided their major.
President Kim Eel-hwan said, "JNU has opened the course in order to listen to and communicate with students while walking on the Ollegil where students can feel wonderful natural environment of Jeju. Through this, JNU will become a university that gets close to students more."
