JNU (President Kim Eel-hwan) and the Korea Maritime & Fisheries Development Institute (KMI, Director Kim Jong-deok) signed a MOU to open a "Marine & Fisheries Policy" course in JNU graduate program at JNU on Feb.14.

At the signing ceremony, Dean Lee Ho-won said, "JNU expects that lectures on maritime and fisheries policies from professional researchers at state-run research institutes will be of great help to graduate students' career paths and future designs." He further stated, "JNU aims to foster an expanded collaboration between the two institutions and is committed to providing active support for this initiative."
Kim Jong-deok, director of KMI, stated, "The initiation of the 'Marine & Fisheries Policy' course by JNU, a first in Korea through this MOU, holds immense significance." He further mentioned, "KMI is committed to collaborative efforts in contributing to the development of human resources and the progress of the marine & fisheries sector in Jeju, by acquainting JNU students with the intricacies of the field."
