On April 12, the Jeju Regional Innovation Platform University Education Innovation Headquarters held a "JOY (Jeju-One-universeY) Sharing University Innovation Teaching Method & Excellence Performance of Extracurricular Program” at the Maison Glad. The purpose was to disseminate and exchange best practices in teaching methods, educational materials, and extracurricular programs.

The event provided a platform to share successful teaching methods that have innovated the educational landscape in response to changing times. Additionally, it highlighted five exemplary living lab programs where local governments, universities, companies, and residents collaborated to address community challenges in Jeju. Moreover, it showcased two initiatives supporting employment and startup ventures, including a program for a local broadcasting.

More than 100 officials, including the deputy center director of the Jeju RIS General Operation Center, the head of the university's education innovation division, the lead professor, and the participating universities (Jeju University, Jeju Tourism University, Cheju Halla University) and students from JOY, attended the event in order to award and present best practices for research meetings, and extracurricular programs. This collective effort aimed to achieve the goal of disseminating and promoting achievements in education innovation.

Prof. Kim Dae-young Jeju from RIS University Education Innovation Headquarters said, "With the JOY Sharing University initiative, we anticipate reinforcing the dissemination and feedback mechanisms of the regional innovation platform, beginning with this event," adding,” Cooperation between universities in Jeju will be enhanced to create an innovative education system and excellent performance model, which will take the Jeju regional innovation platform to the next level."

In her congratulatory speech, Kim Mi-young, deputy director of the Jeju RIS General Operation Center said," Jeju RIS will provide support to create a virtuous cycle enabling young people in Jeju to settle in Jeju by forming industries in key fields, cultivating talent, and linking them to employment and start-ups," adding, “Jeju will stand as the center of sustainable development and a hub for innovation in the future.”
