JNU announced that officials from Eastern International University (EIU) in Vietnam, including Chairperson Nguyen Tan Loi, visited JNU on March 29 to discuss the way to expand cooperation and exchanges between the two universities.
EIU officials visited JNU to discuss concrete measures for expanding student exchange cooperation between the two institutions. This visit followed a proposal by JNU President Kim Eel-hwan during his January visit to Vietnam, aiming to enhance collaboration between the universities.
The two universities discussed measures to expand student exchange cooperation, including ▲ offering language study programs for students during vacation periods ▲ providing opportunities for students to interact during the academic semester ▲ operating joint degree and multiple degree programs.
EIU, established in 2010 in Binh Duong Province by Vietnam's state-owned enterprise BecaMax, prioritizes the training of personnel required for Vietnam's semiconductor and urban development sectors.
Kim Eun-hee, Director of JNU Office of International Affairs, said, "In 2024, JNU and EIU established a forward-looking cooperative relationship through mutual visits." She also revealed future plans, adding, “JNU will strengthen the global capabilities of its students by expanding academic and student exchange cooperation in the future."
