JNU, Selected for GKS R&D Project

JNU has been additionally selected for a GKS College (Korean government-invited foreign scholarship students project), which is expanded and revamped by the Korean government to cultivate outstanding foreign talents.
The Ministry of Education and the National Institute for International Education recently announced the additional selection results for the 2024~2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) colleges. JNU Departments of Electronic Engineering (Next-generation Semiconductor field) and Computer Engineering (Artificial Intelligence field), which applied in the research and development (R&D) sector for promising future advanced and new business areas, have been selected.
GKS is a program aimed at promoting the attraction of outstanding foreign students to domestic universities in Korea. The National Institute for International Education selects and supports excellent universities with educational support and management capabilities for this purpose. Through this program, selected GKS students receive support for tuition, airfare, settlement assistance, living expenses, scholarships, and more.
JNU Departments of Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering have been selected as GKS Research and Development (R&D) universities. As a result, 10 outstanding foreign students, 5 in each field of Next-generation Semiconductor and AI, will be actively recruited to contribute to nurturing international talents.
