MOU signed with KISTI for joint research

The Jeju National University Basic Science Institute (Kim Myung Sook, Director) signed the agreement with Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI)/National Science and Technology Data Headquarter (Kim Jae Soo, Director) for a collaborative development of the research data management in basic science area at a signing ceremony earlier today (May 4, 2020).
The bilateral agreement aims at facilitating the following tasks:
△Joint research and mutual exchange for establishing the research data management system
△Shared use of research facilities and equipment
△Exchange of research personnel
△Exchange of academic and scholastic information.
In particular, establishment of the research data management system at the JNU basic science research institute is expected to reassess the importance and values of the research data at the institute.
The JNU basic research institute has been operating it as an autonomically managed national scientific research organization for regional research emphasis through the development of basic science research information platform for specific regional research aims.
The bilateral collaborations are expected to serve as a useful case of the JNU basic science research institute-KISTI data management plan (DMP) for other universities in Korea.
