On May 13, Lim Seong-woo, the Head pharmacist of Maeum Pharmacy, delivered KRW 5 million as a scholarship to the JNU College of Pharmacy at JNU (President Kim Eel-hwan), bringing the total donation to KRW10 million including the amount contributed in April 2023.

In December 2022, Maeum Pharmacy began its partnership with JNU, providing a vital training ground for JNU students before they graduated from JNU pharmacy program. Pharmacist Lim assisted 33 students from JNU College of Pharmacy through the practical training, helping them become valuable assets in the medical field.

As an experienced senior, who walked on the same path of a pharmacist, understood the challenges faced by students completing their practical training. Drawing from his own experiences as a pharmacy student, he chose to offer scholarships to alleviate their financial burden and allow them to focus on their studies. The funds provided by Lim will be distributed as scholarships to support the academic endeavors of JNU pharmacy students.

Maeum Pharmacy in Yeon-dong, Jeju-si holds even greater significance as the first local pharmacy to provide a scholarship to JNU College of Pharmacy.
