Jeju National University Intellectual Properties Education University Project (Kim In Joong, Director) held an educational workshop on copyright infringement in connection with the untact teaching method currently timely topic in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic. The workshop was held in the Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute on the campus last month (May 29, 2020).

 

The workshop was organized to strengthen the knowledge of intellectual properties for the faculty and students. It was held in preparation of the possible copyright infringement involved in untact teaching being carried out locally and nationally.

 

Professor Kang Myung Soo (Pusan National University School of Law) lectured on △Copyright law and characteristics, △Limitation of copyrights related to the remote distance lectures, △Subjects for copyright protection and what to protect.

 

The workshop also had a FAQ session dealing with remote distance teaching and learning specifically at educational institutions.

 

Director Kim said that the project would continue to emphasize the intellectual properties and the applications for faculty, staff and students, especially through the intellectual properties professorial education (T3) that will be held on a sustainable basis.
