Drug developer “BioHealth Research Center” lured to JNU

교육부 기초과학 연구역량 강화사업 선정Basic Science research invigoration project picked by Ministry of Education

Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) was picked for the 2020 basic science invigoration project as one of the Core Facilities for organization and management.

The JNU General Laboratory Facility (Professor Lee Dong Sun, Director) was approved for funding and proposed and granted to lure the BioHealth Materials Development and Research Center specifically aimed at discovering and developing new drugs based on natural resources.

Under the grant, Jeju National University got awarded about 3.5 billion krw for the next six years. The JNU grant also provides a subcontract grant of 60 million krw for Cronex (Son Young Jun, CEO) aimed at discovering and developing new drugs under collaborative job-related training program.
