Yang family presents 20m won scholarship

The late Yang Dong Jin, Honorary Doctor of Management, and his surviving member Yang Jae Cheol twenty million won scholarships to Yang Hye Min, Sophomore, Department of Tourism Management and three other classmates (5 million each) at a presentation ceremony last Tuesday (June 2, 2020).

The Yang Dong Jin scholarship fund was established in 2016 and provided annual scholarships to the JNU recipients since then.

Mr. Yang was born in Hallim Township and graduated from the JNU Department of Commerce. He established the scholarship fund with an initial donation of 100 million won in 2015.

He served as a presidential consultant and was instrumental in persuading Mr. Kim Chang In to establish the JNU development fund totaling 20 billion won.
