JNU national university development project picked for superiority

‘네트워크 분야’ A 등급..거점대 중 유일 A grade in “Network Area”…only one among flagship universities

The Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) National University Development Project gained the top rating in the annual review of “Network Establishment and Enforcement”.

According to the announcement released by the National Research Foundation last Monday (June 15, 2020), Jeju National University earned a grade of “A” in the area of 2019 Network; the JNU was the only one getting the top ranking among the peer national universities group.

As the result of the top rating, the university received a renewal grant of 7.388 billion won from the foundation.

The review panel commented favorably on the JNU’s Jeju regional modern history of recent 100 years, highlighting its historical recognition extending beyond the boundary of Jeju Island, especially in terms of networking such events as democratization, human rights, and peace movement.

The evaluation panel also complimented the JNU program being realistic in its improvement and details of implementation.
