Basic Science and Biodiversity Institutes held joint seminar

Jeju National University Basic Science Institute (Kim Myung Sook, Director) held a first regular seminar in the College of Natural Science #2 Hall last Thursday (June 18, 2020).

The seminar was the first of 5 joint seminar series with other Jeju research organizations. The first partner was Biodiversity Research Institute/TechnoPark.

The seminar program featured presentations by Dr. Chung Yong Hwan (Director, Biodiversity Institute) who reported on the Jeju-produced black radish and its commercial potentials (with presentation by Dr. Kim Ki Ok) and on Jeju Island mesophotic system by Dr. Lee Hyung Woo.

The joint seminar provided an excellent opportunity for the two laboratories to share and exchange scientific results and their industrial potentials.
