LINC+Project rated at nation’s top

The Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) Community Tailormade Industry Academy Cooperation Leading University (LINC+) Development Project (Kang Chul Woong, Director) earned the distinction of being the best performance university in the nationwide evaluations of the LINC+Projects conducted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea as well as the maximum renewal grant fund of 4.95 billion won, it was announced last week (June 18, 2020).
The JNU LINC+Project was top rated based on its performances cumulative of the project’s achievements in the area of regional community development and tailormade personnel training since 2012~2017.
The project got praised specifically for its role in help developing the environmentally clean new industries in Jeju and in the process contributed to building a leading model for mutual progresses for the regional society and the university.
The JNU project plans to extend the cumulative achievements to solving such issues as
△ problems arising from the COVID-19 pandemic,
△ development of reform ideas for changing the regional industry to sustainable status,
△ community of neighbors in mutual assistance, culture, and education for community members. Finally, the project aims at contributing to the development of environmentally clean and sustainable community for the better future of Jeju.
