JNU sweeps superior dissertation awards at mechanical engineers meet
BibekannanㆍSahoo Surjit cited for quality training and research

Postdoctoral fellows Bibekannan and Sahoo Surjit of the Jeju National University Department of Mechatronics Engineering (Professor Kim Sang Jae, Faculty Mentor) were awarded for their respective doctoral dissertations at the 2020 Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers Held in Jeju Oriental Hotel last week (July 15~17, 2020).
Their award-winning doctoral research revolved around the development of flexible complex film-based hybrid energy harnessing device and the development of auto-chargeable super-capacity electrical nanoelectrode materials, respectively.
Bibekannan and Sahoo Surjit were recognized for their outstanding doctoral research performances from JNU President Song Seok-Eon and Dean of the graduate school, respectively, at the commencement event held last February. They are currently carrying out research funded by the Ministry of Education/National Research Foundation of Korea.
The JNU researchers swept the superior doctoral dissertation awards at the Korean society of mechanical engineers this year.
The event was attended by more than 300 participants where President Song delivered a welcoming and congratulatory addresses.
