제주대-서울시립대 ‘공감과 공동성’ 공동 심포지엄 개최
JNU & Seoul City University hold symposium on empathy and collectivity

Jeju National University Common Resources and Sustainable Society Studies Center (Choi Hyun, Director) and the University of Seoul Glocal Culture Empathic Society Studies Center (Chang Won Ho, Director) jointly organized a symposium last Monday (July 13, 2020).

The main themes of the symposium were “empathy and collectivity.”

In the first session, Professor Choi Hyun presented the topic, “Principles of Management of Jeju Common Resources—Golden Rule,” Professor Chang Won Ho discussed the topic, “Lack of Empathy in Korean Society; Causes and Solutions.”

The second session was a roundtable discussion with research assistants participating in the presentation of problems and their recognitions.

Director Choi commented that the joint symposium provided an excellent opportunity to understand the present status and the future of Korean society and to explore the possible joint research.
