제주-전북, 지역선도대학 육성사업 협력 본격화
Collaborative efforts seen between Jeju-Chonbuk in regional projects

An increasing emphasis in the regional flagship university development project through collaborations between the Jeju and the Chonbuk National Universities (Song Seok-Eon and Kim Don Won, Presidents, respectively) is foreseen in the second-year term of the projects.

The two university project staffs are expected to offer technical and fund management skills for the participant students in the CNU campus during August 2~14.

Students from the both institutions are expected to participate in special education for them to acquire agricultural biotechnology related technical certificates.

They will also be participating in the fund management program with an open campus education course offered by the National Pension Service stationed in Chonbuk Province. The students will be trained to develop fund management skills through practical education.

The regional flagship university development projects being administered nationally aim at training regionally tailormade leaders through the university-industrial sector-government agency consortia in Jeju and Chunbuk provinces, which are implemented by Jeju National and Chonbuk National Universities, respectively. Vice President of Planning and Project Director Lee Dong Cheol envisions the the JNU-CNU projects become an exemplary case for the inter-provincial development through the collaborative efforts.
