Jeju National University Subtropical Horticulture Research Institute (Lee Hyo-Yeon, Director), Subtropical Agriculture and Life Science Institute (Kim In Joong, Director) and the Korean Society for Mandarin and Subtropical Pomiculture (Chun Yong Cheol, President) agreed to collaborate in advancing the subtropical agricultural sciences in a tripartite meeting held at the Subtropical Horticulture Research Institute seminar hall last week.
The three institutes agreed to publish their research papers in the newly established joint online organ “Subtropical Agriculture and Life Science (SALF)” through the JAMS (http://subtropics.jams.or.kr) system funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea. The three laboratories also work together to have the SALF journal accepted for both national (KCI) and international (SCI) citations.
The first issue of the joint journal is expected to be released in November 2020.
Professor Kim In Joong has been elected to serve as the first editor of the journal.
In addition to the publication, the three organizations plan to hold scientific conferences and personnel training and education sessions in the future.
