‘5G ICT융합 경진대회’서 우수상 등 7개상 수상
JNU teams win 7 awards at “5G ICT Convergence Contest”

A student team of the Jeju National University Software Flagship University Project (Song Wang Cheol, Director) went away with superiority and 6 other prizes from the “5G ICT Convergence Ideas Contest” held in Yongpyeong Resort, Gangwon Province, last week.

The contest represents the prime academic event sponsored by Korea Communication Society.

The team comprised of Sun Min Soo and Kim Byeo Ri won a superior idea award at the contest, with other JNU teams of Yeom Sang Kwon, Kim Seung Chan, Kim Seung Hyun and Kim Da Hyun, Kim Hyun Kyung, Park Na Yeon and Yoon Yi Joon went away with good ideas and popularity awards at the contest.

Over 100 entrees competed at the contest this year. Notably, the JNU teams were comprised of freshmen and sophomores, whereas the contestants from other institutions were mostly juniors and seniors.

Director Song commented that the project has been working to provide both mentoring and technical support to enhance the participating students’ sense of achievements.
