Veterinarians volunteering 30 years “looking for blind spots”

하계 봉사 마무리..단속 앞둬 동물등록 까지 병행 Summer clinical service ended with animal registrations
The Jeju National University College of Veterinary Medicine (Son Won Keun, Dean) was in Chooja, Kujwa and Han Kyung townships for voluntary clinical services during July 29~30, 2020. The veterinarian team treated 112 companion dogs and 4 cats during their volunteer activities.
The volunteers team also inserted microchips into the animals for registrations. The companion animal owners were grateful for the service, as any unregistered animal is subject to a hefty penalty fee.
Major clinical activities included △rabies △preventive vaccinations △heart worm and parasite extermination and △male animal desexualization surgery.
More than 30 veterinary faculty and student members participated in the summer voluntary service.
The veterinary college has been providing free clinical service since 1992. The college has been picked for “VET-Hero program” for its continuing achievements in animal clinical service.
