Jeju residents to participate in education for reserve teachers

Jeju National University Educational Reform Headquarter (Yang Chang Yong, Director) carried out an intensive program “Nuri-Bridge” in the JNU jobs lecture hall earlier this week (August 24~25, 2020).
The program succeeds the reserve teachers training program basic course offered last year (November 2019). Of 27 who completed the basic course, ten persons have been chosen for the intensive program this month.
The term Nuri-Bridge stands for the combination of the world and the bridge (=Nuri), to implicate the intended relationship for the reserve teachers education program.
The Nuri-Bridge program expands the education programs offered at Jeju National University by having the Jeju citizens to participate in securing personnel infrastructure for the regional society.
Those who complete the basic and the intensive education programs are expected to serve as adjunct instructors in a course designed to resolve the regionally important problems in the future.
Director Yang expects the program to expand as the university and the regional society attempt to find the mutual synergy for a win-win educational model.
