검도부, 전국학생검도대회 대학부 단체전 3위 입상
JNU fencing team places 3rd at collegiate meet

The Jeju National University fencing team placed 3^rd at the 8.15 National Liberation Day Commemorative Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Cup/49th National Collegiate Fencing Meet.

The JNU team (Park Dong Hoon, Coach) comprised of Ko Chung Kyu, Hong Hyuk Chul, Cho Min Woo, Kim Sung Hyun, Chun Chul Young, Yang Jin Wook and Choi Min Woo competed at the national meet held in Gangwon-Kosung Stadium earlier this month (August 12 ~ 14).

The JNU team advanced to quarterfinal and semifinal by defeating Kyungwoon and Yuwon University teams, respectively, but lost to the Sungkyunkwan University in the final matches.

Coach Park expects his team to perform with confidence in the future meets, thanks to the self-confidence gained by each fencing member at the Gangwon meet.
