Kim DK wins best research award at Livestock Society meeting

Master’s degree candidate Kim Dong Kyun of the Jeju National University Animal Biotechnology Majors (Professor Ryu Yeon Chul, Mentor; Animal Protein Engineering Laboratory) went away with an outstanding research presentation award at the online ‘2020 Korean Livestock Society meeting last week.

Mr. Kim’s research revolved around developing the method for meat maturing using Jeju pine mushrooms.

He said the mushroom matured meat showed both tenderness and taste.
