Future farm management project conducts food safety education

Jeju National University Future Farm Managers Education Project (Kim Dong Soon, Director) conducted education for HACCP (Food safety control certification standards) team leaders and FSSC/ISO 22000 (Food safety management system) administrators last week.

The education program was carried out under the commission of DNV/GL Assurance Korea.

Thirty one students completing the program were given the HACCP and FSSC/ISO 22000 certifications. HACCP and FSSC/ISO 22000 education programs are included in the Future Farm Managers Education required courses.

The project office has been providing overall education for job seeking and start-up planning students for education in food processing and management system with the help of extramural expert instructors.

The project has carried out specifically for college agriculture majors since 2004. Recently smart farming education was added to the program.
