Language Institute holds three-line acrostic poem contests

 

Jeju National University Korean Language and Culture Institute (Bae Young Hwan, Director) plans to hold the three-line acrostic poem contests in commemoration of the 574th Proclamation of Korean Letters (Hangeul) on October 2. Poems are to be composed of the five words including Hangeul Day, Anniversary, Our Language, Words Collection with each of which a contest entrée composes the three-line poems. The contests aim at informing the citizens of Jeju Island about the scientific, creative and superior characteristics of the Hangeul.

 

Any Jeju resident is eligible to enter the contests by submitting at least three three-line poems out of 5 words given. Winner will be announced by the JNU institute on October 9, the Hangeul Day. The poems must be original, and no plagiarism will be tolerated.

 

Prizes will be presented to winners of each contest category.
