Intellectual properties basic education taught for high school youths

Recently, Jeju National University Intellectual Properties Education Leading University Project (Kim In Joong, Director) conducted a basic course in intellectual properties aimed at Jeju region high school students.

The basic course was offered for the youths to gain, experience and practice the intellectual properties related information including design, trademarks, and acquisition of related intellectual property rights under the sponsorship of National University Development Project.

Seogwipo Industrial Science and Daejung Industrial Science High School students participated in the course that included such topics as patents, design application, and intellectual property experience.

The participants were taught how to process the patent application software for electronic submission.

Each student also came up with his/her own idea to put it through the electronic patent application process under supervisory assistance of Director Kim In Joong and Professor Kim Byum Yong.

Through the learning experiences, the students produced 9 bona fide patentable items for application.
