최가미 씨, 국제학술대회 최우수 영어 논문발표상 수상
Ms. Choi GM wins top prize for thesis written in English

Jeju National University has announced last Monday (November 23, 2020) that Ms. Choi Ga Mi, MS degree candidate, of the Department of Nutrition (Lee Yoon Kyung, Mentor Faculty) has gotten away with the best prize for thesis written in English from the 2020 Korean Society of Nutrition International Conference held in Dregon City Hotel, Seoul.

Her thesis was entitled “Kelp extract and refined oligosaccharides: Physiological activities and structural analyses.” The research revolved around the structural elucidations and immunological efficacy of kelp oligosaccharides.

Her research would have significant impacts in understanding the modulation of intestinal microorganisms as affected by the kelp oligosaccharide sugars.

Ms. Choi performed the research with a grant support from the National Research Foundation of Korea conducted as part of the the Korea-China Scientific and Technological Cooperative Center Project.
