Remote location education center opens for Jeju region

포스트 코로나 시대, 원격교육 경쟁력의 구심점 Remote education focus of post COVID-19

A remote location education center for Jeju region (Lee Sang Joon, Director, Vice President for Academic Affairs) was opened at the launching ceremony held in Lotte City Jeju Hotel last Thursday (November 19, 2020). JNU President Song Seok-Eon, his counterparts from Cheju Halla University and Jeju Tourism College, along with university executive officials participated in the opening of the unique center in the post COVID-19 pandemic.

JNU President Song pointed out at the event that remote education took on a greater emphasis in the post corona epidemic era.

The Jeju regional center expects to receive a 5-billion won/5 years grant from the Ministry of Education and Korea Education & Research Information Service for its remote location education project.

The center hopes its program of contents developed for the remote education in Jeju would be applicable worldwide through the K-MOOC network.
